Some Bookmarks from experimenting

I wanted to play around with mistyfuse, and scraps. Also being an avid reader, love bookmarks. I also on my to do list wanted to make something for one of the ladies I work with, and she is an avid reader too! So TADA some bookmarks.
Also I got to practice my zig-zag stitching which I so need more of!

SO here is what I ended up with, and I was thinking of these little string bits at the top, but you will see later in the photos I changed that. I just wasn't feeling it.

I ended up with four from the piece of fabric I started with.

back, left blurry on purpose to hide phone number :D

And here is the one for the lovely Ms. C I work with. I added a dangle charm I made and am much happier with that then the strings.

Over all I am happy with them. Not sure what I will do with the other three yet, if anyone is interested send me a msg and I can add a random charm bit to it and send you one.

  1. These are unique! I have never seen fabric swatch bookmarks or heard of that fusible fabric. And you picked such bright and cheery fabrics, too. Did you have multi-colored thread to do the zig-zag border? I didn't know they made multi-colored threads, either. If you're serious, I'm a new follower, but I'd love one! :)

  2. I'm such a fan of making bookmarks! I swear I need to stick a bookmark into every gift I ever give in order to get rid of them all. I love yours...especially the multicolor stitching and the charm. Pretty, pretty!

  3. @Rita, no matter how new you are, I would love to send you one. email me at cheerbear7 (@) hotmail (dot) com. Yes the thread is a multi colored one, love it!

@Andria, oh no! We need to do a bookmark swap, lol. I have a few different types I like to make and I have a few new ones I am working on making. I read so many different books at one time, I just love em! You should defiantly stat giving them as gifts too. I do that a lot with swaps and such as well. :D
