Desi has been sewing and quilting for 13 years. She has a love of all colors and a knack for color combination. She enjoys the process of sewing and making something for someone to treasure for a long time.
She has been journaling in some form since she can remember learning to how to write. It has only been in the last year and a half that she has begun to explore journaling in the new form of art journaling, seriously. Adding paint, images and fabric to express feelings and to let go of stress, find new meaning in her life and share her thoughts, processes and loves.
When it comes to bookmaking, as a woman who always thought she would be a writer, her fascination and obsession with paper and books drives her to want to create her own books. She explores different ideas and mediums to add depth and creativity to her handmade journals.
She thrives on viewing life through the learners eyes. This keeps a fresh perspective for her and helps her to learn as much as she can and share along the way. We are all learners and if we forget that then what have we become.
