YAY!

SO I do know it is the last week of February and March is here already at the end of the week and so I wanted to make sure I had something awesome to share with you before then!

I joined (of course another online class) Art Journal Caravan 2012 !

And what makes this one really different for ME, is it is digital (hybrid too which I love) I bought Photoshop Elements off Amazon last week after joining. I have been wanting to buy Photoshop Elements but needed a reason, haha and I found this and well two and two makes more for me to do!

AND although I am fairly good with online, pc, software stuff etc and have some MAC experience from back in my college days, which now seems like FOREVER AGO! Anyhow, all that and still I am a way newb for PSE. Which is OK, I am excited to learn it, I just have to remember patient with myself!


SO without further ado, my first digital art journal page and first lesson of the Caravan, a letter/reminder to yourself.


Also on a side note, I have been having some unhappy issues with my laptop and hoping she holds on for the remainder of they ear :S I fear my graphics card is going out, my fan has already gone out and I need to buy another on to put it, I am using a laptop cooler stand for now and it works OK but it still really needs that darn fan in there! :S Which also could be causing my graphics to be haywire when it gets too hot (sigh)!

so I have

deleted my boards on pinterest, I will still look and like but no longer pin.

I do have some projects to share of my own but need to upload the pictures from my camera soon, stayed tuned hopefully I will have something pretty up by the end of the week!

~As Promised~

If you know me well, than you know I so dislike Walmart! But I needed a yoga mat and groceries and I was indeed too lazy to go to more than one place so bleh, I went to Walmart, sigh. It is like a black hole, you get lost in there, go in when it is light outside and come out HOURS later and it is dark. It is also a black hole for your money! (bigger sigh) But I got my yoga mat and groceries! I will be very thankful for the yoga mat because push ups and crunches on hardwood floor, so not fun!

Back to work tomorrow though, the office was closed today for the holiday. It was very nice to have a three day weekend. And a four day work week will be nice as well. I have not even peeped at my work blackberry so I hope I do not have all kinds of craziness to deal with when I get back.

And here as promised is what I have so far for the e-course Color As A Verb. I have completed the journal she shows you how to make. I thought about doing it differently but wanted to be genuine to the class so I did make it following her directions with one minor difference, I like to start my thread on the outside not inside.

Here are the signatures which are cut from Bristol Smooth paper, this will be the first time I have used this paper.

She makes the journal out of a composition notebook, so I recycled one that had writing exercises in it originally.

Pretty scrapbook paper to cover the insides.

Plain but pretty scrapbook paper for the back inside. :D

And she has you make a copic marker swatch book. I used the left over Bristol Papers where I made the signatures. I also used the leftover pretty scrapbook paper. I did not think I would get it done ever because I have 80 something markers. But it really went faster than I thought. And glad I did it, it is a great color reference.

TADA, and hopefully soon I will have some pretty stuff on the inside! :D

In the Sewing Room I got a Christmas Mug Rug quilted, and two tissue cozies made for two of my friends.

I definitely feel accomplished not only in the sewing room but in the art room too. Tomorrow, I will share how far I have gotten with the e-course I signed up for, Color as a Verb. And I exercised! So good start for the new year, just need to keep keeping on!!
