3 x 6 swap blocks

So here are my swap blocks for the 3 x 6 bee, 2nd quarter. I went with a simple double nine patch. Although a simplistic block, it is one of my favorites. This is first block I sewed, by hand, when I taught myself to sew and quilt...years ago. It brought back those memories when I saw them all done. That quilt which is still just a top, and will probably remain so, lol. But I still love it and look where I have gotten.

I got this in the mail today! Super excited to play with it. I had been using the trial version and liked it, so felt it was worth a purchase. I also needed video editing software. They do have a version 15 out now, but this was the trial I was using and since there is a newer version out this had a discounted price. :D I got mine on Amazon!

SO hopefully super awesome edited videos will be happening soon!

Checking in

I just wanted to wish everyone a belated happy Mother's Day.

Although at work all weekend I had a good one. The weather has been way hot which beats rain. Which I never thought I would say since I so dislike being hot! Just need a bit of wind!

I had one day off between my last three days and I am back to work tomorrow night (well technically tonight since it is now 1 am :S) and work for two then I shall be off at least 3, hopefully more! I have oodles to do and am super motivated, but I need a nap!

Here is a page spread I just completed. I love John Lennon! This is a advert from our local paper where his art was for sale. I wish I could have made it, but I never look at the paper til days later :S I enjoyed making this page nor only for John's memory, and mine, but because I got to play with all my pens, gel, souffle an some manga markers I love. :)

Here is my most recent finished pages. I wish I had let my hand just flow with the writing instead of trying so hard. I think it would have looked nicer. Also this is going into that new 8 x 8 journal I have to play with thanks to Aideen. :D

Yes it is May already. I had hoped I would be able to squeeze one more post in for April but I had a family crisis and it got me all out of whack! All is as well as it can be though. Just send me some positive thoughts and prayers for my family. :)

Nor do I have anything to share besides that this morning. I hope to get a journal page done soon, it was started the last week in April and is so waiting for me.

I am into work this evening and hoping there will be no storms while driving or walking into work!
